Nestled in the heart of the South Peninsula of Cape Town in a valley surrounded by majestic mountains you will find the beautiful coastal village of Fish Hoek.

We are pleased to announce that we also have uninterrupted power.

Luxury Bed and Breakfast in Fish Hoek

Located high on the slopes of the mountainside above Fish Hoek beach, 1 Mountain Rd is ideally located for exploring all the sights and activities that the Cape Peninsular offers. These include Table Mountain National Park, Cape Point Nature Reserve, Simonstown and Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Hout Bay and the infamous Chapmans Peak drive, and we’re just a 30-minute drive from the centre of Cape Town, Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront.

We are situated close the Fish Hoek shopping area and beach, but due to our location high on the mountainside, we strongly advise guests to have their own transport. Uber does service the area, but can be unreliable at times. There is adequate free off/semi on road parking

  • An absolutely wonderful experience at this hidden gem of a B&B. Ray and Sanchia are just delightful, and really do their utmost to make you feel at home and comfortable; their extensive knowledge of the area is also very much appreciated when planning day to day activities. I truly believe this B&B has some of the absolute best views available in Cape Town, perhaps even the whole of South Africa. Each room overlooks the stunning Fish Hoek bay, a breathtaking sight both day and night, it's enough to simply just sit outside on the balcony for an entire day and drink in the panorama available just outside your bedroom doors. On that, the bedroom is just amazing, enough space for an army, and a bed to match. The aesthetic is modern and sleek, and the rooms cleaned to the highest standard. Thanks to Agnes for being so brilliantly diligent. There's a wonderful balance Fish Hoek strikes between being welcoming for busy holiday-goers and also being comfortable for those seeking silence and relaxation. Kalk bay is just around the bend - being a bustling location with an almost uncountable number of unique shops, you won't get bored very quickly. For the numerous other experiences, just ask Ray and Sanchia, as they gave us some fantastic recommendations. Just a few minutes drive away are some amazingly quiet malls, restaurants and things to do (we particularly enjoyed the cave golf in Simons Town). Simply just walking around the area of the B&B is an adventure in itself, with some publicly maintained gardens and paths on the mountain side providing some adorable experiences (be warned though - it can be quite the exercise!). Definitely not a complaint, but the only warning I would have is that, simply by nature of it being located on the side of a mountain, the roads are very narrow and parking quite limited and precarious (although still adequate - the same goes for most of the surrounds). Just make sure to take this into consideration when planning your travels. As an aside, there are also some fairly affordable laundry services nearby to the B&B, so I wouldn't worry too much about that should you need them. I genuinely can't believe this experience is available at such a price point, and finding this B&B was the highlight of my holiday. It's more than a steal, and I just can't thank Ray and Sanchia enough for providing me and my partner with the most wonderfully modern and upper-class vacation stay we've had in years. We hope to be back soon.

  • I recently had the pleasure of staying for 4 nights at 1 Mountain Rd B&B. The positioning of this venue couldn’t be better the views from my bedroom window were amazing. Chairs are provided to sit out on the patio area and enjoy the beautiful views across Fish Hoek. My room was spotlessly clean on arrival and the bed one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in on my travels. The hosts Ray&Sanchia were friendly and were on hand to offer advice on local restaurants, scenic drives etc. In my opinion your own car is essential to get around as local Uber service is not that reliable.
